chordgen is a static website. This page explains, in plain language, what happens when you use it.

No accounts or sign-up

There is no account system. You never create a profile, and the tool never asks who you are.

Audio and MIDI stay on your device

Chord playback is synthesized by your own browser with the Web Audio API, and MIDI files are generated in your browser when you export them. No audio, files, or progression data are uploaded anywhere.

No tracking or advertising

This site runs no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers, and it does not set its own cookies. There are no social buttons or embedded content that could observe you.

Hosting

The site is served as plain static files from the owner's web server. Like any web server, the hosting provider may keep routine server logs (such as request times and IP addresses) as part of delivering pages and maintaining security. Those logs are not used to profile visitors.
