Free, as-is tool

chordgen is provided free of charge, as is, without warranty of any kind. The generator is a creative aid: the progressions it produces are standard musical building blocks, and how they turn out in your music is up to you and your ears.

Your music and your exports

The chord progressions you generate, and any MIDI files you export, are yours to use in your own songs and projects. The site claims no rights over your music.

No service promises

This is a small, self-funded tool. Features may change, and the site may occasionally be unavailable. Nothing here offers professional advice.

Fair use

Please do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or abuse the site. The site does not host user content, so there is nothing to moderate — but automated abuse may be blocked at the hosting level.
